Department Overview
The Primary Data Team in IT is the central organization responsible for the governance, quality, and maintenance of our company's most critical data assets. We act as the single source of truth for core business entities like customer, product, and supplier data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all enterprise systems. Our team establishes and enforces data standards, defines data ownership, and implements the necessary tools and processes to cleanse, enrich, and manage primary data throughout its lifecycle. By providing a clean, reliable, and integrated foundation of data, we empower the entire organization to make informed decisions, operate more efficiently, and drive key business initiatives, from digital transformation to advanced analytics.
Job Description
The Technical Lead will drive the architecture, design, and implementation of the enterprise Product Data Hub (PDH) solution, focusing on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Master Data Management (MDM) functions. This role requires a strong candidate who can translate complex business needs for data governance and product data standardization into robust, scalable technical solutions. The lead will be instrumental in the ongoing phases of the data transformation program, ensuring a single source of truth for product data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design: Design and lead the implementation of the Hybrid PDH solution, including the Informatica P360 MDM platform and integration with Oracle PDH and Fusion Cloud applications.
Data Strategy & Governance: Establish and enforce global standards for product data taxonomy, hierarchy, quality, and relationships (e.g., Accessory-to-Product, Product-to-Services).
System Integration: Oversee data integration and syndication between PDH and key upstream/downstream systems, including Oracle Agile PLM, Oracle EBS, SAP, CPQ, and e-commerce platforms (AEM).
Technical Leadership: Act as a trusted technical advisor, leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex data disconnects and troubleshoot data failures across the ecosystem.
Data Quality & Cleansing: Define and implement robust Data Quality (DQ) rules, cleansing, and profiling processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of product master data.
Program Support & Business Development: Provide technical planning, pre-sales support, and contribute to GTM strategy development for data management solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
7+ years of industry experience with a significant focus (5+ years) in Data Management, Integration Design, Data Engineering, or Data Architecture..
Expertise in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and PDH (Product Data Hub) concepts and hands-on experience with tools like Oracle Agile PLM and Oracle PDH.
Strong, verifiable experience with MDM implementation, particularly Informatica MDM (e.g., P360, Customer 360, Product 360).
Proven expertise in data integration, data modeling, data quality, and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS components, CDI).
Experience in Product Domain and Customer Domain master data solutions for Hi-Tech, Banking, or Retail clients.
Demonstrated experience in leading technical programs, managing global delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Digital Transformation and modernization initiatives.
Target Base Salary Range: $125,000 USD - $140,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
NOTE: candidate must be in the Chicago office 2 days per week.

Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of IT experience
AND 5+ years in Data Management, Integration Design, Data Engineering, or Data Architecture.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
