The Role
Based in Rio de Janeiro and operating under a hybrid work model, this role serves as a Data Management Specialist supporting multidisciplinary teams. The position is responsible for ensuring high quality, timely delivery of upstream projects leveraging AspenTech’s Subsurface Science & Engineering software suite.
This is a high-impact opportunity to directly support one of Aspen Technology’s largest and most strategic customers in Latin America while contributing to Aspen Technology’s continued growth and success in the region.
Your Impact
Perform activities related to the creation and administration of G&G interpretation projects using the AspenTech SEISEARTH, RMS, SKUA, and GEOLOG products running on the AspenTech EPOS data and project management platform.
Execute data loading activities for 2D and 3D seismic datasets, as well as Geoengineering data (Geology, Wells, Cultural, Interpretation, Engineering, and Production) into interpretation projects within the data structures of SEISEARTH, RMS, SKUA, and GEOLOG platforms in the EPOS suite.
Conduct quality-control activities for the loading of 2D and 3D seismic data and Geoengineering data (Geology, Wells, Cultural, Interpretation, Engineering, and Production) within interpretation projects hosted in the SEISEARTH, RMS, SKUA, and GEOLOG data environments available in the EPOS suite.
Manage the provisioning and distribution of 2D and 3D seismic data and Geoengineering data (Geology, Wells, Cultural, Interpretation, Engineering, and Production) from interpretation projects within the SEISEARTH, RMS, SKUA, and GEOLOG data structures in the EPOS suite to other platforms.
Provide exceptional, customer‑centric service designed to inspire loyalty, enhance user engagement, and sustain ongoing product usage.
Prepare and deliver activity reports, project updates, and status communications to customers and internal management as required.
Collaborate with other Aspen Technology teams to support, maintain, and develop business opportunities.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in IT, Data Science or Geosciences.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in IT, data science or geoscience related disciplines.
Experience managing Upstream Data
Familiarity with data and workflows to support data managing projects.
Previous experience working on-site with customers is a plus.
Ability to identify opportunities that create value for customers with a strong customer first mindset.
Ability to proactively take the leads in resolving complex technical issues
