About the Team
The Finance Transformation team (FTO) leads the modernization and optimization of Workday’s global finance function. At the core of this effort is the Digital Enablement team, who drive operational excellence through alignment with Finance strategy, the Future of Finance roadmap, and enterprise data initiatives.
Within FTO, the Reporting & Insights team serves as a centralized function delivering scalable reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights across the CFO organization. The team partners closely with Finance, Business Technology (BT), and Enterprise Data (EDATA) to build a modern data ecosystem leveraging Snowflake, Sigma, and Workday platforms.
As the organization evolves, a key priority is establishing trusted, certified finance data foundations that enable consistent reporting, automation, and advanced analytics across systems.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Sr Analyst, Reporting & Data Insights to join the Finance Transformation team. This role will be responsible for designing, governing, and certifying finance data across Workday’s finance ecosystem.
The successful candidate will act as a bridge between Finance, Business Technology, and Data Engineering teams, translating complex finance processes into scalable data models and ensuring alignment across systems.
This role will define and implement data architecture, data mapping, and certification frameworks that establish a single source of truth for finance reporting and insights. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Governance
Design and maintain scalable finance data models to support reporting and analytics
Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including data ownership, lineage, and certification standards
Define and maintain single source of truth datasets across finance systems
Partner with BT and data engineering to align on data architecture, ingestion, and transformation standards
Document data flows, transformation logic, and reconciliation methodologies to build institutional knowledge and reduce key-person dependency
Reporting & Data Insights Enablement
Develop curated, analytics-ready datasets to power reporting and dashboards in Sigma
Standardize KPI definitions and ensure consistency across finance reporting outputs
Enable scalable, reusable data products that support executive insights and decision-making
Support the evolution of reporting toward automation and advanced analytics
Own and continuously improve ARR reporting: detect discrepancies in new bookings, expansions, churn, contraction, and renewals across reporting periods.
Bridge data gaps between disparate systems (e.g. Salesforce vs. Workday vs. Snowflake) by building reconciliation frameworks, automated checks, and data quality dashboards.
Develop and maintain reporting pipelines, transformations, and BI dashboards that provide leadership with real-time visibility into revenue health.
Proactively monitor data pipelines and alert stakeholders to anomalies, missing records, or at-risk data flows before they impact downstream decisions.
Data Integration & Reconciliation
Lead data mapping and integration across systems including Workday, Salesforce, and Snowflake
Ensure alignment and consistency of data across systems, reports, and finance processes
Build and maintain reconciliation and validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Monitor data quality, resolve discrepancies, and drive root cause analysis
Stakeholder Management & Finance Partnership
Partner with Finance and process owner teams (CAO, Revenue, Payroll, Accounting) to translate business processes into data requirements
Serve as the bridge between Finance, Reporting, and business technology teams
Drive alignment on data definitions, KPIs, and reporting standards across stakeholders
Communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Partner with RevOps and Finance to define and enforce data governance standards, field mappings, definitions, hierarchy logic, and data validation rules.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.
