Role Overview
The Senior Revenue Accountant supports accurate revenue recognition, reporting, and analysis in accordance with ASC 606. This role partners closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Billing, and Accounting to ensure revenue is recorded correctly, timely, and consistently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer contracts and sales orders to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606
Review deal structures (pricing, contract terms, amendments, renewals) and identify revenue impacts
Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, deferred revenue balances, and supporting documentation
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue
Perform revenue variance analysis and explain trends and fluctuations
Assist with revenue system processes (e.g., RevPro, NetSuite, Salesforce) including data validation and issue resolution
Support internal and external audits by preparing revenue support, memos, and reconciliations
Identify process improvements and help automate or streamline revenue workflows
Support ad-hoc revenue analysis and management reporting as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3–5+ years of experience in revenue accounting
Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition concepts
SaaS or subscription-based business experience
Experience with RevPro, NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau preferred
Advanced Excel skills; experience with large data sets
Experience supporting audits or SOX controls
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, relevant experience, and work location. Please note this range reflects base salary and does not include incentive compensation or potential equity grants. We also offer a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package.
