$133,300.00 - $219,100.00
Description
The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships is a national-level, enterprise-facing role in our Cell Therapy Commercial team responsible for shaping and executing long-term strategic partnerships. Our cell therapy customers are scaling from RUO-to-GMP and onward to clinical and commercial phases. They will need a Strategic Partnerships Manager who can align at all levels in their organization, including Executive/Franchise leadership to convert complex opportunities into long-term, win-win partnerships. This individual will work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to drive deal and high-value agreement momentum for our end-to-end Cell Therapy solutions.
Location: Fully Remote (including but not limited to Boston, MA; Houston, TX, Philadelphia, PA, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA)
Travel Expectations: 25-50% USA & Canada travel required
Key Responsibilities
Multi-year Strategic Account Planning
Develop, own, and communicate national account plans for enterprise biopharma and related accounts in this space
Map executive stakeholders, clinical/manufacturing roadmaps, defining quarterly and annual shared objectives and milestones
Translate customer strategies into actionable joint initiatives and collaboration agreements
Executive Cadence & Governance
Establish and run executive business review with clear narratives, decisions and action logs
Create and maintain an executive-level decision marker rhythm (pre-reads, decision memos, follow-ups) to keep momentum and resolve escalations fast
Serve as the senior point of contact for enterprise cell therapy accounts, aligning internal leaders to support making decisions at the appropriate levels (Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Legal, Business Unit Leaders in Advanced Cell Systems)
Agreements/Negotiations
Coordinate cross-functional work to accelerate high-value agreements (e.g. term sheets to supply agreements, co-development, memorandums of understanding, quality agreements)
Structure problem statements with options and tradeoffs, while shepherding through review/approval paths noting cycle time and removing bottlenecks
Partner closely with Legal & Commercial Partnerships & Business leadership on negotiation prep, redline resolution, and stakeholder alignment
Pipeline Health & Market Intelligence
Maintain a high-quality, high-value opportunity portfolio to support late-stage conversions, cross-sell adjacent offerings, develop and further engage with KOL’s, and executive-sponsored initiatives to support our cell therapy customers and enable of our portfolio within the programs
Identify and share landscape shifts in the market and competitive signals, investment; doing so via routine industry and field travel; reporting this out regularly to leadership
Orchestration & Customer Experience
Lead cross-functional squads to deliver on customer commitments with purposeful action-oriented mindset
Anticipate and proactively address risk and put in mitigations to ensure a consistent premium customer experience for a defined number of accounts that will change over time
Required Experience & Capabilities
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field to the position (e.g. Cell Biology, BioChem) and 12+ years of relevant, progressive experience in advanced therapies. Master’s/PhD with combined related 10+ years work experience in the advanced therapy space (immune cell, regenerative medicine)
Experience in life sciences, biotech, or life science tools (preferably in Cell Therapy) managing high-value pharma/biotech partnerships
Demonstrated success in executive level engagements and customer-facing roles
Experience facilitating agreements successfully and managing multiple stakeholders
Ability to translate scientific and technical complexity into clear strategy
Demonstrated success in working in fast-changing, matrixed enterprise environments
Experience supporting regulated workflows in a commercial context
The pay range reflected in this posting represents the anticipated annual base salary range for this position and does not include the commission plan structure or additional variable earnings available for the role.
