Role Summary The Senior Director, Commercial Strategy will serve as a strategic commercial leader for a growing clinical‑stage biotechnology company with a diversified pipeline, including a lead asset in Atopic Dermatitis entering phase 3 clinical trials within the next 12 months and two additional programs in earlier clinical stage development. This role is responsible for supporting the ongoing planning and execution of the Company’s five-year U.S. commercial roadmap across a variety of initiatives, workstreams and projects. The Senior Director will work closely with Clinical, Medical Affairs, Business Development & Strategy, Regulatory, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure commercial perspectives are integrated early and effectively throughout the development programs. In addition, the role will be responsible for building and executing a Commercial competitive intelligence process to keep up to date on the competitive market dynamics and developments across our prioritized therapeutic areas. The Sr Director, Commercial Strategy will report directly to the SVP, Commercial Strategy & Operations. Key Responsibilities Work closely with Commercial Leadership Team in the development of a comprehensive commercial strategy and pre-launch plan for the Company’s lead asset in moderate-to-severe Atopic Dermatitis Oversee and maintain the execution of the 5-year U.S. commercialization roadmap across Operations, Marketing, Market Access and Sales through cross functional commercial projects and initiatives that will define the go-to-market strategy Partner with Commercial Leadership in the evaluation, assessment and implementation of commercial operating model which includes commercial processes, systems and capabilities as well as the organizational design & structure to support commercialization Partner closely with Marketing & Market Access organizations to understand the needs and operational support required by each organization pre and post launch and lead efforts to incorporate those into go-to-market planning Serve as a member of cross functional program team workstreams across various portfolio development programs to ensure Commercial perspective is accounted for in the plans of Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory functions Establish a market and commercial competitive intelligence process to help the organization stay up to date on the latest market changes and competitive dynamics that will shape asset positioning and target product profiles (TPPs) Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MD, PhD, or other relevant graduate degree) preferred, particularly for candidates with management consulting or strategic advisory experience Approximately 10+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years of strategic consulting experience or strategy experience at a pharmaceutical or biotech company Broad experience across relevant commercial roles and functions, including at least one role with primary responsibility for commercial strategy development and execution Proven track record of shaping and executing effective commercial strategies in rapidly evolving biotech organizations, resulting in meaningful commercial impact Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to build clear, data‑driven analyses and create executive‑ready presentation decks Ability to thrive in a remote work environment by engaging actively and building rapport with colleagues through virtual meetings and collaboration tools Successfully exhibit Apogee’s C.O.R.E. values: Caring, Original, Resilient and Egoless Position requires up to 20% travel including mandatory in-person attendance at All Hands meeting, typically held twice per year The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $255,000- $285,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
