Resident Engineer

Your Role
You will be Aptiv’s representative at the customer location.
You will be the first point of contact for the customer engineering teams.
You will help Aptiv to manage the customer expectations, coordinate requirement elicitation, clarification, testing and issue triaging
Supporting requirements elicitation and clarification
Facilitating system testing and resolution of open issues at customer site.
Acting as an interface between customer and APTIV
Gathering all additional necessary customer information, e.g. milestone plans, contact persons, prototype needs, etc. for the development team
Facilitating access to customer specific tools and information systems.
Supporting the team to provide data to customer specific information systems.
A Learning Enthusiast to be passionate about learning, follow trends and publications in the market outlining new solutions
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech in any specialization with an experience of 7 to 12 years
Should have overall 7 + years’ experience in roles like resident engineering, systems engineering or vehicle testing
Product Domain knowledge in at least User Experience or ADAS products
Experience with logging and debugging tools
Knowledge of Requirement management tools like Polarion, Doors, etc.
Familiarity with workflow tools like Jira
Knowledge of automotive electronic systems and their feature functions.
Knowledge of different vehicle architectures.
Experience in debugging Electronic systems including common faults, EMI/EMC issues.
A go-getter, good in communication, challenge ideas to achieve career aspirations aligned with Aptiv mission
