QA Engineer with Mobile, Cloud, IoT, and Blockchain Expertise

Job Summary Synechron is seeking an experienced QA professional with expertise in emerging technologies such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The position aims to enhance verification processes, improve product reliability, and support innovative technology adoption, contributing to the organization’s strategic goals of delivering robust and secure solutions for clients. Software Requirements Required: Strong knowledge of mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain platforms Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js (minimum one required) Experience working within software development lifecycle (SDLC) frameworks and Agile methodologies Preferred: Familiarity with testing tools and automation frameworks related to mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain environments Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines Overall Responsibilities Work with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and design comprehensive testing strategies Develop detailed technical specifications, test plans, and documentation for new features and system updates Stay updated on the latest technology trends and evaluate their impact on testing and quality assurance processes Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices Troubleshoot technical issues, provide support to development teams, and ensure timely resolution of defects Collaborate with testing teams to develop and execute test cases that verify software meets quality standards Technical Skills (By Category) Programming Languages: Essential: Java, Python, or Node.js Preferred: Experience with scripting languages for automation testing Databases/Data Management: Understanding of data structures, data integrity, and database testing methodologies Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of deploying, testing, and monitoring applications on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms Outcomes: Ability to validate cloud-native features, security, and performance Frameworks and Libraries: Essential: Familiarity with testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent Preferred: Automation tools specific to mobile and API testing Development Tools and Methodologies: Essential: Use of Git for version control, JIRA for issue tracking, and Confluence for documentation Preferred: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban practices in testing environments Security Protocols: Basic understanding of security testing principles related to blockchain, IoT, or cloud systems Experience Requirements Minimum of 3+ years in software testing, quality assurance, or relevant areas with a focus on emerging technologies Proven experience testing mobile, cloud-based, IoT, or blockchain solutions Experience with Agile development practices and associated tools (JIRA, Confluence, Git) Additional experience in guiding or mentoring junior team members is advantageous Alternative pathways: Demonstrated success in innovative testing environments, certifications in QA or specific technologies, or open-source contributions Day-to-Day Activities Participate in daily stand-up meetings as part of Agile teams and contribute to planning and retrospectives Collaborate with developers, product owners, and security teams to understand system requirements and design testing procedures Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for various platforms and environments Document test results, track issues, and verify defect resolutions Continually assess and improve testing strategies, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and coverage Maintain technical documentation and share best practices with team members Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Relevant certifications in QA, automation testing, cloud, or emerging technologies are a plus Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with technological advancements in testing and related fields Professional Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of diverse, collaborative teams Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information effectively Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies Innovation-focused mindset aimed at process improvement and quality enhancement Effective time and task management to meet project deadlines S​YNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT   Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
