Job Purpose
Identifying and engaging with policy makers, business associations, research institution, and think tanks to get in-depth policy interpretation and shape the self-care policy landscape in Vietnam to support the mid to long term of growth of Opella Consumer Healthcare across the country, creating and executing public affairs agenda to further increase the value of Opella consumer healthcare business in Vietnam. This role will work closely with the Consumer Healthcare business unit, Country Public Affairs, and Regional Public Affairs Asia.
Key Responsibilities
The role is responsible for enhancing the reputation of Opella and driving the development of comprehensive self-care policies in Vietnam through policy analysis, strategy recommendation, and stakeholder engagement with focus on policy makers, business associations, research institutions and think tanks. The role will champion our influencing and engagement work across the consumer healthcare sector. Success is this role will be achieved through:
Develop deep understanding of consumer healthcare landscape in Vietnam to facilitate both internal and external stakeholder engagement
Provide public affairs council to General Manager CHC Indochina
Create and execute public affairs agenda of CHC Vietnam
Identify opportunities across the portfolio public affairs activities could either increase or retain the value of our CHC consumer categories/ brands in Vietnam
Maintain cross-team communication on policy issues to achieve internal alignment on advocacy plans to optimize the policy advantage for Opella Vietnam
Monitor and provide internal policy analysis as well as strategy recommendation on advancing self-care landscape in Vietnam
Act as business partner to CHC business unit in Vietnam to collaborate closely with Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Sales to ensure consolidated approach in strategy planning and implementation
Manage external agencies supporting the efforts
Maintain regular engagement with Regional Public Affairs team to ensure alignment with boarder policy discussion across the region
Corporate compliance responsibilities
Accountable for assuring compliance’s rules & ethic code when working with Health Care Professional to strengthen the company’s image.
Ensure all the related activities comply with relevant acts, legal demand and ethical standards and in line with marketing plan
Corporate HSE responsibilities
Following all HSE guidelines and policies requested by the Group as well as contributing to the achievement of the HSE objectives.
Line Manager is accountable for assuring compliance with the road safety program for driving employees under their supervision and leads by example
About you
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Graduate Degree in business, public policy related field will be a plus
Years of experience: minimum 5 years’ experience needed in public affairs/government affairs and/or advocacy roles in FMCG and/ or consumer healthcare sector
Fluent English (oral & written)
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to influence in a proactive, objective and diplomatic manner with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to drive projects and initiatives and execute successfully in a complex environment.
Proven track record successfully executing complex projects and initiatives, on time, within budget, with measurement of results
Good understanding of stakeholder engagement techniques and policy-making processes in Vietnam
