Join the Team Shaping the Future of Industrial Technology!
Ready to make a tangible impact on global industries using cutting-edge technology? Trimble is looking for a passionate problem-solver like you to help us transform the way the world works!
About Us:
Trimble is a global technology company that connects the physical and digital worlds, transforming the ways work gets done. With relentless innovation in precise positioning, modeling and data analytics, Trimble enables essential industries including construction, geospatial and transportation. Whether it's helping customers build and maintain infrastructure, design and construct buildings, optimize global supply chains or map the world, Trimble is at the forefront, driving productivity and progress.
About Document Crunch:
Document Crunch is a premier AI-powered contract intelligence platform for the construction industry. By simplifying complex construction documents, Document Crunch empowers project teams to understand their risks and manage contracts with confidence. As part of the Trimble ecosystem, this technology serves as “intelligent DNA,” accelerating AI adoption to create a future of zero project disputes and increased transparency across the AECO industry.
What Makes This Role Great:
At Document Crunch, subject matter expertise is at the heart of how we build great products. In this role, you'll be the in-house voice of the construction professional—bringing deep preconstruction expertise to shape product strategy, expand our industry-leading knowledge base, and ensure the AI solutions we ship genuinely solve real-world pain. You'll work across the entire product lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and defining problem spaces to evaluating the quality of what engineering delivers, and your insight will directly influence how construction teams manage risk and make better business decisions.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who knows the preconstruction phase inside and out and wants to translate that experience into products used by thousands of construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide product advisement across multiple product areas—identifying and defining opportunities and problem spaces, performing customer discovery and market research, and validating proposed product solutions from an industry perspective.
Expand the Document Crunch knowledge base by prioritizing and developing new preconstruction-related solutions, helping the product deliver a more robust, end-to-end experience for the Preconstruction phase of a construction project.
Support R&D efforts, including defining use cases and offering feedback on solutions to accelerate development of more execution-oriented capabilities.
Power QA and AI evaluations by developing ground truth and rubrics for evals, reviewing outputs, and providing structured human feedback to ensure we accurately and efficiently evaluate new AI solutions.
Champion thought leadership and marketing—review marketing copy for accuracy and fit with industry norms, create content that establishes Document Crunch as a leader in AI risk management for construction, and represent the company at conferences and webinars.
Raise the bar by partnering with existing Product SMEs and GTM teammates to bring customer empathy and industry rigor to everything the Product team builds.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Direct experience as a Preconstruction Manager, with a strong command of preconstruction workflows, estimating, and the people and processes that drive the early phases of a construction project.
Field or project management experience on construction projects, with the credibility to “speak the language” of construction, is a plus.
Deep understanding of the construction industry and the day-to-day pain points of the people involved in the preconstruction phase of a project.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to clearly describe problems, rally a team around the best approach, and follow through to outcomes.
Excellent communicator across formats—verbal, written, and visual—able to translate industry expertise into product requirements and align diverse stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and comfortable with the ebb-and-flow nature of evaluation work, from creating ground truth to reviewing AI outputs against rigorous standards.
A customer-obsessed mindset and a passion for building solutions that solve real-world pain.
Bonus Points For:
Experience across multiple construction divisions or trades, or with division-specific scopes of work.
Familiarity with AI-driven product experiences and an interest in how AI is reshaping construction risk management.
Exposure to B2B SaaS or construction technology environments.
Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
A track record of producing industry content—articles, webinars, or conference talks.
