The Role
We are seeking a commercially minded and client-focused Portfolio Specialist to support our consulting and white-labelled client base. This is a client-facing role at the intersection of investments, relationship management, and business growth. The successful candidate will act as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of high-value advisory clients, partnering closely on portfolio strategy, implementation, and ongoing engagement.
This role requires someone who can confidently articulate investment thinking, translate complex market and portfolio concepts into clear client messaging, and proactively identify opportunities to deepen relationships and grow revenue. The individual will work closely with Investment, Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to deliver a high-quality and consistent client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for consulting and white-labelled clients, building strong, trusted relationships with advisers and key stakeholders. Deliver a high standard of responsiveness, insight, and service across all interactions.
Clearly communicate the investment process, portfolio positioning, and market views in a way that is relevant and actionable for advisers. Present portfolio performance and positioning, translating complex investment concepts into practical client outcomes and narratives.
Partner with clients on portfolio construction, fund selection, and overall strategy alignment. Support the implementation and ongoing refinement of client portfolios, ensuring alignment with house views and client objectives. Facilitate and, where appropriate, lead Investment Committee meetings with clients.
Work closely with advisers to identify opportunities to grow existing relationships, supporting increased assets under management and share of wallet. Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the consulting and white-labelled value proposition based on client feedback and market needs.
Contribute to webinars, conferences, and client events as a representative of the investment team. Assist in developing client-facing content and presentations, acting as a credible and engaging spokesperson for the firm’s investment capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, or CFP preferred.
5–10+ years’ experience in investments, asset management, or wealth management.
Strong understanding of portfolio construction, fund selection, and market dynamics.
Experience working with financial advisers and/or discretionary fund managers is advantageous.

Base Salary Compensation Range
ZAR 1,152,000.00-1,689,333.33
Bonus Target:
15% Annual
We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
