Job Title: Policy and Partnerships Senior Manager, EMEA
Location: London or Cambridge, UK - Hybrid (50% working time at the office)

The job
You will help develop AVEVA’s external interface with policymakers, industry and innovators to elevate our influence and institutional profile as a leading software player in the future of energy and industrial digitization.
You will define and advance a strategy that grows the company’s visibility and relationships, technology leadership, policy influence, and involvement in collaborative projects at the leading edge of industrial innovation.
Core themes will be digitization, data and AI, in driving industrial modernization, the energy transition, water resilience and sustainable cities.
Focus areas will include the following key industrial sectors: power and water infrastructure; smart manufacturing; the marine sector; and metals and mining and the lateral theme of connected data ecosystems.
Working as part of AVEVA’s global Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver autonomous projects and initiatives in collaboration with colleagues from across AVEVA, with our parent company Schneider Electric, and with a wide network of external partners. You will represent AVEVA in key industry groups, business coalitions, and with policymakers and report directly to the Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy who is based in London, UK.
Key responsibilities
Strategy: Drive an integrated policy and partnerships strategy that aligns with AVEVA’s mission to advance responsible use of the world’s resources, and coordinates internal resources across our Product, Industry, Sales, Communications, Sustainability and Innovation teams to define and lead key external engagement programmes.
External networks: Build relationships with policymakers, industry organizations, research organisations, trade and business groups, and AVEVA’s customers to drive a clear and compelling policy agenda for AVEVA, which projects our role at the intersection of the digital, industrial and energy policy arenas, and provides evidence and insights to inform energy, industrial and tech policy.
Thought Leadership: Shape a compelling external narrative on our core topics through developing curated content across key audiences across multiple channels, inc. owned, earned, events, reports.
Demonstration projects: engaging with customers, research institutes and other partners in the development of demonstration projects that showcase AVEVA’s software as a driver of industrial innovation, the energy transition and sustainable cities, and contribute to the adoption of evidence-based policy and practice.
Essential requirements
Strong experience in the areas of energy, technology, or industry, in any of the following settings: government, industry association or business group, or in a government/public affairs role in a corporate;
Experience in the realm of AI adoption within industry would be an advantage.
Desired skills
Strong project management skills and experience coordinating programs of work involving multiple internal and external stakeholders; a self-starter who enjoys working autonomously, and working across multiple projects in cross functional teams;
Excellent analytical capability, and enjoyment of working with deep technical experts across multiple disciplines.
A talent for building networks and facilitating connections, and creating coalitions of partners;
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills, and the ability to communicate technical detail persuasively in accessible language.

Hybrid working
