Job Description

Working at Infobip means being part of something truly global. With 75+ offices across six continents, we’re not just building technology — we’re shaping how more than 80% of the world connects and communicates.
As employees, we take pride in contributing to the world’s largest and only full-stack cloud communication platform. But it’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it: with curiosity, passion, and a whole lot of collaboration.
We operate with an AI-first mindset, embedding intelligent tools into our daily workflows to work smarter and more efficiently. Every role here benefits from and contributes to this approach.
If you're looking for meaningful work and challenges that grow you in a culture where people show up with purpose, this is your opportunity.
Let’s build what’s next, together.

What this role is all about
As a Software Engineer at Infobip, you will join a newly forming team focused on building, evolving, and maintaining the foundations of Infobip’s public APIs and integrations. The team works across a large CPaaS domain, enabling external platforms and partners to reliably integrate with Infobip’s messaging capabilities at scale. You will contribute to systems that define how APIs are specified, reviewed, documented, and safely evolved, working in an agile environment that values adaptability, ownership, and practical problem solving. While much of the current stack is Java-based, the role is technology-agnostic and open to engineers from different technical backgrounds.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting CPaaS integrations and public APIs
Work on automated generation and maintenance of OpenAPI specifications used across multiple business and client-specific contexts
Contribute to API documentation, including knowledge bases, API education materials, and design standards
Participate in API reviews and technical consultations, helping teams align on API quality, consistency, and usability
Develop and evolve systems that detect breaking API changes and prevent issues for existing clients
Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders in Scrum-based development, with flexibility to use Kanban when needed
Apply an AI-first mindset when approaching engineering problems
Effectively leverage AI to improve code quality, testing processes and technical documentation
What makes you a strong fit
At least 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer in backend or full-stack roles
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming and API-based system design
Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
Comfort working in a technology-agnostic setup and readiness to work with multiple programming languages
Professional, proactive mindset with willingness to take ownership in a large and evolving domain
University-level education in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Nice-to-have qualifications
Experience with Java or solid production experience in another backend programming language
Exposure to cloud-based systems or services
Experience working with OpenAPI specifications, API documentation, or API design standards
Interest in automation, observability, or using AI-supported tooling to improve engineering workflows
