The Opportunity
This opportunity is with our Operating Company Harrier, who provide the Ignition platform, a leading customer retention and engagement product for the automotive industry. The platform helps dealerships automate workflows, strengthen customer relationships, and improve marketing and service retention across Australia and New Zealand.
We’re looking for a Marketing Cloud Engineer to own how Harrier communicates with customers across every channel, email, SMS, letters, and beyond.
Harrier are based in Sydney but were open to this role being based anywhere in Australia. reporting to the CPTO and partnering closely with Engineering, Architecture, Customer Success, and Product. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own Marketing Cloud end-to-end, keeping journeys running smoothly while building scalable, data-driven communication capabilities.
Harrier’s platform is evolving quickly, and we’re looking for someone who can simplify what exists while building smarter, more integrated and personalised communications.
What You'll Do
Own journey automation – Build, optimise, and manage end-to-end Marketing Cloud journeys across all channels.
Integrate and manage data – Bring data together from multiple systems, ensuring it’s clean, structured, and ready to power communications.
Deliver multi-channel comms – Keep email, SMS, and letter communications running reliably, while expanding into new capabilities.
Build scalable solutions – Create efficient, automated, and personalised communication frameworks.
Ensure compliance – Maintain strong consent and privacy practices aligned with the Australian Privacy Act.
What You'll Bring
Experience with a Marketing Cloud platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar).
Strong SQL and scripting skills (e.g. AMPscript, SSJS, or equivalent).
Proven ability to work with and integrate data to drive marketing communications.
Experience managing multi-channel campaigns at scale (email, SMS, etc.).
Strong understanding of data structures, contact models, and data quality.
Knowledge of deliverability, consent, and subscriber lifecycle management.
Bonus Points
Experience integrating with Salesforce CRM (e.g. MC Connect, APIs).
Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem (Flows, data model, etc.).
Experience with SMS platforms (e.g. Twilio).
Exposure to personalisation or AI-driven engagement.
Marketing Cloud or Salesforce certifications.
