A Day in the Life
This role supports manufacturing operations by coordinating and delivering training programs that build workforce capability, ensure training compliance, and support operational performance. The Training Coordinator IV partners with production teams to facilitate on-the-job training, skills development, certification tracking, and implementation of new training initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This position is based in West Valley City, Utah and is an onsite role supporting manufacturing operations. Travel is not anticipated as part of this position.
The Training Coordinator IV is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and monitoring training programs that support manufacturing operations. This role serves as a training resource for production teams, maintains training records and certifications, assists with implementation of new training programs, and may provide daily work guidance to team members while supporting operational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver on-the-job, skills-based, and classroom training to manufacturing and production employees.
Coordinate and track employee training progress, examinations, certifications, and qualification records.
Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs and materials.
Partner with production leaders to identify training needs and support workforce readiness initiatives.
Monitor trainee performance and provide feedback to support skill development and qualification requirements.
Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
Assist with introduction of new manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions through training activities.
Provide day-to-day guidance, task delegation, and work review support to less experienced team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, training coordination, or related operational environments.
Experience delivering employee training in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or operations setting.
Experience maintaining training records, certification documents, and compliance-related documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic training record systems.
Ability to communicate training requirements and operational information across multiple employee groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing or updating training programs, work instructions, or training materials.
Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or similar industries.
Experience serving as a team lead, trainer, or subject matter expert within manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and continuous improvement practices.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training compliance reporting.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$60,000.00 - $90,000.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
he base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
