Overview of the role:
The Market Access Training manager will lead role-specific development and training for the Market Access Teams. Role specific development will be provided for Account Directors in the Strategic Account Management teams and additional emerging roles.
This position will lead:
Account Management & Stakeholder Engagement — emphasizes cross-functional partnership across the GSK commercial enterprise teams, senior leadership, compliance, legal, medical affairs, and operations. Plus, the ability to translate complex market access content into field-ready training.
Training Design & Facilitation — instructional design, multi-modal delivery, and measurement frameworks.
Operational Planning & Program Management — LMS ownership, training calendar management, compliance tracking, and metrics reporting.
Effective execution in this role will have a measurable impact on the organization by enhancing the capabilities of the Market Access customer-facing Teams.
This position is directly responsible for assessing needs, designing, developing, managing, facilitating, analyzing, and effectively utilizing strategies to implement overarching training curriculum and programs for the above groups including overseeing vendors and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful design and roll-out of training programs and projects that positively impact US Market Access objectives. This position is responsible for strategically aligning training strategies and content to support the organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Require interaction with FVP, Account Directors in Market Access customer-facing teams on regular basis to conduct needs analysis to ensure training alignment with applicable training outcomes and legal/compliance/regulatory requirements. This includes new hire training, virtual training, advanced training, etc. Support training projects and other MA department initiatives, to include leadership special projects, enterprise projects, large cross functional training projects (e. g., product launches) including providing Market Access landscape expertise and consulting.
Develop and manage continuous curriculum enhancements through multi-media delivery channels, learning tools, e-learning, assessment programs and other related content to support training aligned to stakeholder needs and current training modalities.
Ensure training events are evaluated against and meet good training and adult learning principles and ensure all resources and materials have been through the correct legal, compliance, and/or regulatory review process before being delivered to stakeholders.
Conduct on-going needs analysis (customer/internal feedback, field interactions, SMEs, etc.) and leverage results to inform/adjust training strategies and curriculums as needed.
Create new hire on-boarding and continuous training curriculum for Market Access customer-facing teams.
Establishes and maintains effective communication within the team, across Business Units and U.S. Commercial
Demonstrate effective working relationships both within and outside of the team while actively leading across the matrix through partnership and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
3+ years of Market Access experience
Experience with account management & stakeholder engagement in a cross-functional, matrixed organization
The ideal candidate will reside in Durham or Philadelphia
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA/other
Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong platform style - ability to make large group presentations at regional and national meetings.
Strong project management skills such as scheduling, planning, and prioritizing several diverse activities, initiatives, and projects from different individuals, groups, or departments.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute in ambiguous circumstances under short timelines.
Executive presence in influencing senior decision-makers.
Proven results with planning, creativity, and deployment of learning initiatives linked to business outcomes.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and practices in multiple learning modalities
Ability to operate independently and handle multiple projects with a high degree of initiative. Ability to operate successfully as a leader in a matrix environment without direct reports.
