We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer, iOS to join Snap and build consumer-facing, Generative AI-first mobile products. You will help create polished experiences for creators and drive strong technical execution across iOS development.
What you’ll do
Build and ship end-to-end features for iOS applications
Lead development of high-quality, high-performance mobile experiences
Partner with product, design, backend, and iOS teams
Improve performance, stability, and overall product quality
Contribute to technical direction and engineering standards
What we’re looking for
Strong experience building consumer-facing mobile products
Deep iOS expertise and strong engineering fundamentals
Cross-platform development experience
High ownership, sound judgement, and a collaborative mindset
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of professional iOS development experience
Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
Strong knowledge of UIKit, Foundation, Core Animation, and Core Data
Experience with multithreading, performance optimisation, and software design patterns
Understanding of OS internals, compilers, and mobile optimisation
Familiarity with modern development workflows, including AI-assisted coding tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience shipping and maintaining large-scale iOS applications
Experience with hybrid or cross-platform frameworks such as React Native
Experience with C/C++, OpenGL, or Metal
Passion for building smooth, stable, and delightful user experiences
