DESCRIPTION:
Join our facilities team as a Lead Building Maintenance Technician! In this role, you'll ensure the reliable operation of facilities while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities across multiple building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Working in a GMP environment, you'll troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and maintain documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. This position offers opportunities to contribute to facility improvements, mentor team members, and support operational excellence through effective solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance within regulated industrial environments
• Comprehensive knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and BMS
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for facility equipment and utility systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical documentation
• Experience coordinating contractors and managing small projects
• Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and safety protocols preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Available for on-call rotation and emergency response
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various environmental conditions
• Valid driver's license required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with building security and monitoring systems a plus
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required
• CFC/EPA Universal Certification preferred
• Technical certifications in mechanical/electrical trades preferred
