Title: Lead Analyst - Revenue Requirements
Locations: Augusta, ME or Portland, ME
Salary Range: $96,400 - $120,500
Schedule: On Site - Office
Job Summary
Responsible for development of analyses and business processes to provide senior management with an accurate assessment of the revenue requirements necessary to maintain or improve cost recovery for Central Maine Power. In addition, this position requires the holder to formulate and assess various regulatory strategies that maintain or improve regulatory earnings that are consistent with existing state regulatory policies and accounting principles. This position is critical to the financial health of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
Help prepare various regulatory filings for Central Maine Power. Components of such filings may include storm cost, rate of return, rate base, or earnings sharing calculations.
Provide support for rate case filings, including the determination of income statement requirements and rate base. The applicant will support these efforts through the development of financial forecasts, assisting with pre-filed exhibits, and preparation of data responses to discovery.
Perform financial analysis as required to determine reasons variances between actual results and regulatory commission authorized amounts.
Prepare and maintain complex and sophisticated forecasting models to determine the future need for new rates.
Maintain historical data sets for various financial metrics including ROE, rate base, equity ratio calculations.
Support regulatory research projects as required.
Support projects and initiatives within the department as needed.
Required Qualifications

Strong analytical capabilities.
Education & Experience/Training:
Bachelor’s degree required, Business Administration or equivalent major and at least 8 years related experience. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment and operating company business process preferred.
Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel is desirable.
Strong background with SAP preferred.
