The R&D team in Middelburg is part of the Agilent Chemistries and Supplies Division focusing on consumables for gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (HPLC). We are seeking a student with an analytical chemistry background to support our projects in GC columns development.
The student, under the supervision of an experienced R&D chemist, will engage in hands-on experiments with the latest GC instruments and GC column technology and will be supporting research projects to develop new or improved GC columns.
Project Objectives (10 months):
During this internship, you will:
Build a solid understanding of:
Stationary phase synthesis
GC column manufacturing
Column testing and performance evaluation
Develop and apply methodologies to evaluate GC column prototypes
Generate and analyze experimental data to:
Benchmark new phases against existing technologies
Identify strengths, weaknesses, and limitations
This internship offers:

Qualifications
You are studying for a BSc/MSc degree in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field
You have an interest in Gas Chromatography and separation science
You are curious, hands-on and eager to learn and develop yourself
You are able to work independently and in a team environment
You have good communication skills
You are fluent in English (must)
