Inside Sales - Sales Development Representative
As the Sales Development Representative within the Inside Sales team, you will be responsible for driving lead generation and qualification of sales opportunities in Japan across new and existing customers.
You will play a key role in providing administrative sales support to the regional commercial team and external partners whilst driving operational efficiency and optimal customer satisfaction.
This position will be based in Tokyo on a hybrid basis (approx.3 days in the office) and will require strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.
What you will be doing:
Prospect new sales opportunities and qualify new leads
Collaborate closely with the Japan sales and marketing teams to plan and execute campaigns via email, phone, virtual meetings and other prospecting tools
Assist with preparation and submission of sales quotations and legal tender documents
Support order process, including verifying accounts and inventory checking
Engage in effective communication and collaboration with customers, dealers and various internal teams
Update and maintain information in the CRM system (Salesforce)
Provide sales administrative support in the Tokyo office and warehouse as needed
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology or related field
Previous sales or customer service experience
Ability to solve problems, think strategically
Work effectively in a fast paced environment
Excellent organisational skills being able to handle conflicting priorities
Strong relationship building and active listening skills
Fluent Japanese and English language skills (written and spoken)
Working knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office applications
Preferred Skills and/or Experience:
Proven commercial experience in lifescience or NGS
Experience using a CRM (SFDC preferably) and/or prospecting tools
Familiarity with commercial business operations sales lifecycle
