Job Description
The Role
ThoughtSpot is launching a new product line in the agentic AI space, and we’re building the team from the ground up. The ISR on this team is not just a pipeline generator — you are a foundational member of a new business that our CEO helped create. You will work directly alongside the Director of New Business to build qualified pipeline, refine our outbound motion, and develop the messaging that resonates with early adopters of agentic enterprise software.
This is an ideal role for someone who is early in their enterprise software career and wants to develop into a full-cycle AE — particularly in the AI and automation space, which is where the next decade of enterprise software is being built.
What You’ll Do:
Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting — email, phone, LinkedIn, and events — targeting enterprise buyers who are investing in AI and automation
Qualify inbound interest and route opportunities effectively to the Director of New Business
Develop and test outbound sequences and messaging in close collaboration with the AE and marketing
Conduct early-stage discovery calls to assess fit, educate prospects on the product category, and create urgency
Maintain clean, accurate pipeline and activity data in Salesforce
Help build the SDR playbook for this product line — what messaging works, which personas respond, what objections come up most
Represent ThoughtSpot at field events, conferences, and community gatherings relevant to the agentic AI space
What You Bring:
Must-haves
1+ years of experience in a sales development, inside sales, or similar quota-carrying role in B2B SaaS
Genuine curiosity about AI — you follow what’s happening in the space, you can speak to it intelligently, and you’re excited to sell in it
Strong written and verbal communication — you can craft outreach that cuts through the noise
Self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous, early-stage environment
Coachable, competitive, and committed to continuous improvement
Nice-to-haves
Experience selling or prospecting into analytics, data, AI/ML, or automation products
Familiarity with modern outbound tools (Outreach, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay, etc.)
Exposure to enterprise sales cycles and multi-threading within accounts
Bay Area based with ability to work regularly from our Mountain View office
Why This Role:
Work directly with the Director of New Business and have visibility to our CEO
Join a new product GTM team at the ground floor — your contributions will be visible and recognized
Clear development path to Account Executive as the product line scales
Learn what it takes to launch an enterprise product category from people who have done it
Competitive base salary + commission + equity in a company at the forefront of the agentic AI shift
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $90k - $100k in most U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary and will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location of the selected candidate.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits.
