Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA), is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. Position Summary: The Human Resources Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Human Resources and will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain positive and productive culture within the Commercial organization. Working closely with the HRBP, Commercial and Commercial team leadership and employees, this role will be a key contributor to continuing to develop an environment of performance, fairness, and cohesion. Responsibilities: Culture & Engagement Support local engagement initiatives, team meetings, and recognition programs for commercial teams. Promote inclusive culture and team cohesion between field and HQ functions. Talent Management Support performance management cycles (goal setting, check-ins, calibration prep). Assist with succession planning, data collection and tracking for key commercial roles. Recruitment & Onboarding Support Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth hiring for commercial roles. Participate in interview panels or provide input on role profiles Learning & Development Identify recurring training needs within the commercial organization (e.g., sales leadership development, communication skills, compliance refreshers). Partner with Learning & Development teams to schedule or deliver sessions Compensation & Recognition Partner with Compensation to support annual merit, bonus, and incentive processes. Ensure leaders understand guidelines and timelines. Help address sales compensation questions and ensure alignment with HR policy. Employee Relations Develop and implement employee relations strategies and programs that foster positive relationships and a productive work environment. Investigate and resolve employee grievances, conducting thorough and impartial investigations in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, staying updated with changes and advising management on employee relations matters. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related, relevant discipline. 4+ years of experience working in an employee relations or related role. In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees and management at all levels. Brings a track record of being both an advocate for their business unit and a model and representative of strong HR best practices. Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills to address and resolve employee grievances and conflicts. Ability to conduct thorough and impartial investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyze complex employee relations issues and recommend appropriate actions. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and prioritize work effectively. Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other relevant HR tools. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism. Professional certifications in employee relations or mediation are beneficial. Experience in managing employee relations within a diverse workforce is preferred. Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in employment laws and industry best practices. Comfortable with up to 30% travel that could often be unplanned/unscheduled. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.
