Job Title: HR Intern (12 month rolling contract)
Location: Bracknell, United Kingdom
Reports to: Sr HRIS Analyst
Job Overview:
The HR Intern will support the UK HR team with day-to-day HR administration and HR systems activities for EMEA-based employees. This role is designed for someone at the early stages of their HR career who is keen to learn how HR operates in a global organisation.
You’ll gain hands-on experience across core HR processes, employee lifecycle administration, and HR information systems, while being supported and coached by experienced HR colleagues. This is a great opportunity to build practical HR skills, develop confidence working with data and systems, and explore how technology (including AI) can help improve HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & HR Systems Support
Support administrative activities across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, and leavers.
Assist with preparing standard HR documentation such as contracts, offer letters, and confirmation letters.
Help coordinate new starter welcome communications.
Support the maintenance of accurate employee records, in line with internal policies and data protection requirements.
Assist with benefits administration and help respond to routine employee queries, escalating when needed.
Support HR systems (HRIS) through data entry, basic audits, regular checks, and simple reporting.
Act as an initial point of contact for basic HRIS queries, with guidance from the HR team.
Contribute to documenting and improving HR processes and procedures, including intranet content.
Recruitment & Training Support
Support recruitment activities when required, including:
Circulating CVs and tracking feedback
Liaising with candidates in a professional and timely manner
Assisting with interview scheduling
Helping gather required information from new starters for contracts
Support internal training programmes by:
Coordinating with training providers
Sending invitations and managing attendance lists
Assisting with logistics such as meeting rooms or travel where appropriate
Sending follow‑up surveys and helping track feedback
Help maintain training records and logs for reporting purposes
General HR Support
Provide general administrative support to the HR team on projects and initiatives
Assist with preparing simple trackers, reports, and logs
Support updates to job descriptions when required
Help promote Cadence’s internal brand and culture within UK sites
Carry out other reasonable ad‑hoc duties as part of the HR team
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Studying towards, or recently completed, a HR‑related qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 3 or equivalent)
Genuine interest in starting a career in Human Resources
Organised approach to work with good attention to detail
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proactive, reliable, and keen to learn
Desirable
Some previous administrative or office‑based experience
Interest in HR systems, data, or process improvement
Curiosity about how technology or AI can support administrative processes
Personal Attributes
Curious and inquisitive with a willingness to ask questions
Positive, approachable, and comfortable working as part of a team
Well organised with a structured approach to tasks
