Job Description
What's the one game you couldn't put down? The game that connected you with friends, and made you feel like you belonged? If a game has ever defined a chapter of your life, then you already know the spark we're chasing. Our mission is to ignite that same feeling for players: the thrill of competition, the joy of community, and the belonging of finding your own corner of a larger world.
This year, we're bringing Arkheron to the world, and we couldn't be more excited! Arkheron is our first original IP: a fast-paced, competitive PVP game set in a surreal dark fantasy world where 15 teams of three battle their way up the Tower. In a world built from memories, you'll loot powerful items to create and adapt a unique build that changes your strategy and combat experience with every Ascension.
With launch getting our full focus, you may not see the right role posted today, but we're always excited to meet great people. Tell us who you are, what you're great at, and where you'd love to make your mark. Every submission is reviewed by a real person on our team, and every applicant will hear back from us. Our reply may take a little longer than usual right now, but we promise we haven't forgotten you.
TELL US ABOUT:
The discipline or team you're most drawn to, and the kind of work that gets you out of bed in the morning.
The work you're proudest of: a portfolio, a shipped game, a project, a community you built, or something else entirely.
The games that shaped you, and what you think makes a game worth coming back to.
WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU IF YOU:
Are a player at heart and bring that perspective to everything you make.
Take real ownership of your craft and love working with people who push you to be better.
Are energized by building something new, including the ambiguity and bold calls that come with it.
Care about the players on the other side of the screen and want them to help shape what we create.
THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE PLACE FOR YOU IF:
You prefer a fully defined role where the path never changes. We're building something original, and that means adapting as we go.
You'd rather work in isolation than share ideas, give feedback, and hear it in return.
You'd rather follow what's popular than find what's fun.
YOU'LL LOVE WORKING AT BONFIRE BECAUSE WE:
Embrace bold challenges with creativity and courage, making the tough calls to build a game we're proud to play every day.
Keep fun at the core: we play Arkheron daily, staying grounded as players. If it's not more fun than yesterday, we fix it. We don't chase trends; we listen by playing.
Stay truly independent, with decisions driven by the team, not by investors or a board.
Thrive in a culture of passion, trust, and shared ownership, where transparency matters and egos don't.
Every role we open comes with a posted salary range and clear details on how it's set up, whether that's full-time, contract, or freelance. When there's a match, you'll get all of it up front.
