FP&A Manager: Product Engagement & Lifecycle Strategy
As part of our FP&A team, you will play a key role in driving financial insights, shaping strategy, and supporting the long-term health of our platform. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver clear, data-driven recommendations that help us drive high-impact retention and member activation.
This is a highly visible role for a technically-proficient analyst who loves to conduct analysis but also has the ability to step away from the details and present a clear narrative to Executive Leadership.
What you’ll do:
Own the financial reporting, forecasting, and planning for core engagement metrics (DAU, MAU, and Retention cohorts) to ensure business stability and predictability
Develop and track complex cohort-based models to identify 'leaky buckets' in the member journey and quantify the long-term value of improved retention
Build and maintain complex models to evaluate the ROI of retention initiatives, member reactivation campaigns, and product features designed to deepen user habituation
Write and execute your own SQL queries to extract raw data, validating your own assumptions and ensuring that numbers are internally sound before they are presented to leadership
Analyze trends across member funnels and unit economics, translating granular data into high-level strategic insights for senior leaders
Act as the financial "source of truth" for Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams, helping them prioritize their roadmaps
Improve the accuracy of forecasting by identifying emerging risks/opportunities in member behavior and automating repetitive data workflows
What we are looking for:
7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or product analytics, ideally within a tech company
You should be comfortable navigating complex SQL schemas and joining disparate tables to find the answers you need without outside support
You take pride in the integrity of your models and the accuracy of your outputs
What we’d like to see:
Experience building forecasting frameworks that incorporate cohort-based retention, churn logic, and activation velocity
A proven ability to dive into a dataset out of pure curiosity, but the discipline to only present the insights that actually drive business impact
High proficiency in SQL, GSuite/Excel, and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
Ability to synthesize data, structure a concise presentation of findings, and articulate recommendations to a range of stakeholders
Ability to be resourceful and creative in problem solving when necessary to move projects forward tactically
Benefits include:
Medical and Dental Coverage
Retirement Plan
Commuter Benefits
Wellness perks
Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Baby Bonding, Cultural Observance, & More)
Education Perks
Paid Gift Week in December
