As a new entry Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting our customers and partners from the initial installation and commissioning phases, through ongoing upgrades, repairs, and eventual decommissioning. How you’ll make an impact:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will perform service, maintenance, and troubleshooting work of low to medium complexity in accordance with company standards, quality requirements, and safety protocols. You will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, working closely with clients and internal teams to identify and act on new service opportunities for Hitachi Energy.
Main Accountabilities
Service Delivery: Independently execute service tasks within various categories, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering, consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, and end-of-life activities.
Customer Approach: Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering services according to orders and expectations, maintaining strong relationships, and identifying potential sales opportunities for internal follow-up.
Materials and Supply: Coordinate, prepare, and verify that all required materials, parts, tools, and equipment are available and meet the necessary quality standards for all service activities.
Documentation and Reports: Prepare and manage all documents and reports required for service delivery, ensuring proper completion and sign-off.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic equipment failures, providing recommendations to prevent future issues.
Operational Excellence: Suggest improvements to management aimed at enhancing operations and customer service delivery.
Health, Safety, and Integrity: Consistently apply safety rules and best practices, assess risks, and implement measures to protect people and equipment while fulfilling environmental responsibilities.
Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
0–2 years of hands-on experience with high-voltage substation installation, commissioning, or substation services
Proven leadership and team management skills
Solid understanding of safety protocols, operational methods, and quality assurance in field service environments
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client relationship-building abilities
Proactive and methodical thinker with a positive attitude and strong collaborative skills
Good communication in Thai and English
