Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team. This person will focus on testing complex subsystems in our humanoid robot.
Responsibilities
Perform subsystem and system-level testing to verify functionality, performance, and reliability against specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and integration issues identified during testing.
Develop, document, and execute test procedures and validation plans.
Build and maintain automated test processes to improve efficiency and repeatability.
Integrate test automation, data collection, and reporting tools into existing workflows.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across testing processes and product quality.
Document results and track issues using JIRA and Google Workspace tools.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience testing, diagnosing, or supporting complex systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills at the system level.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience reading and following detailed mechanical and electrical documentation.
Comfortable using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for assembly and testing.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to lift and replace components up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA or similar platforms.
Programming experience in Python, Java, and/or C++.
Familiarity with automated test systems and DAQ hardware.
Hands-on experience with robotics systems or electromechanical integration.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, or J-STD-001 standards.
Experience working with brushless motors, harmonic drives, clutches, or torque/force sensors.
The US hourly range for this full-time position is between $45/hr to $70/hr.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
