EMEA Tax Manager - 13 Month Contract

The global tax team sits in 3 different countries and each team member brings unique skills to Riot. Riot Games is looking for a dynamic Tax Professional to join its expanding global Tax team. As a EMEA Tax Manager, reporting to the Tax Director, EMEA you will be instrumental in strategic tax compliance and planning, overseeing tax advisory, tax controversy and related matters as well as driving automation within the tax team. You will be hands-on, understand tax operations, and have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. This will be a 13 month fixed term contract based in Dublin and will be based in the office at least 2 days a week Responsibilities: You will prepare/co-ordinate/review corporate tax returns for EMEA+ region and ensure associated payments made on time. You will prepare/co-ordinate/review VAT/GST returns for EMEA+ region and ensure associated payments made on time. You will prepare/co-ordinate/review WHT returns for certain EMEA regions and ensure associated payments made on time. You will support monthly/quarterly US GAAP provisioning including calculation of current/deferred tax, foreign tax credits etc. You will assist with tax inquiries/audits as they arise. You will work with the Global Tax team, third-party advisors, and local finance teams to maintain and prepare support for local transfer pricing documentation for the EMEA region. You will work with other finance groups such as Legal, Accounting, and FP&A to improve Riot’s business operations and to help implement tax-aligned strategic projects in response to the changing business environment. You will work with the EMEA Tax Lead to provide technical support for all entities in the EMEA region on proposed commercial transactions and restructurings. You will monitor and analyze changes in local country tax laws, regulations, and judicial precedence to recommend appropriate responses and create value for players and Riot alike. You will support the Global and EMEA Tax team and the broader business with consultancy projects and ad-hoc advisory matters (such as e-invoicing, esports events etc). Requirements: AITI qualified in large practice, with an ACA qualification a strong advantage 7+ years of experience in tax/accounting or relevant industry experience Multi-jurisdictional experience, as it relates to tax provisioning and compliance, an advantage. Experience transfer pricing is a strong advantage Self-motivated, with an ability to work independently Detail-oriented and strong work ethic Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and analytical skills Proficiency in Excel/word/powerpoint or Google suite Experience with financial/tax modelling and automation For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, collaborative spirit and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work.
