Job Description
The Director of Analyst Relations will lead Calix’s engagement with global and national industry analysts who cover telecommunications providers and broadband ecosystems. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic Analyst Relations (AR) program designed to positively influence analyst research, strengthen Calix’s positioning in key industry evaluations, and ensure analysts have a deep understanding of our platform, customer success model, and market impact.
This role requires a seasoned professional capable of building trusted, ongoing relationships with analysts and internal executives while shaping narratives that highlight Calix differentiation. The Director will operate as a strategic business partner across product, marketing, sales, and corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic AR Leadership
Build and lead the end‑to‑end Analyst Relations strategy aligned with Calix’s business goals and global go‑to‑market priorities.
Identify, prioritize, and nurture relationships with top-tier global and national telecom industry analysts across market research firms.
Serve as a senior spokesperson and Calix evangelist, ensuring analysts have clear, compelling, and timely perspectives on Calix strategy, product innovation, and customer impact.
Develop AR program frameworks, including briefings, inquiries, advisory sessions, research reviews, and event engagements.
Influence & Insight Management
Influence analyst research, evaluations, and market narratives to drive favorable coverage and rankings for Calix solutions.
Gather, synthesize, and distribute key analyst insights to internal stakeholders to shape strategy, messaging, and product decisions.
Champion the use of analyst insights to improve company-wide decision‑making.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner closely with product marketing, corporate marketing, sales, product management, and executive leadership to ensure unified storytelling and AR alignment.
Prepare Calix executives and subject matter experts for analyst briefings, inquiries, and events.
Collaborate on competitive intelligence, strategic communications, and market positioning initiatives.
Program & Operational Excellence
Manage AR program operations, contracts, budgets, and third‑party research relationships.
Develop and track KPIs that demonstrate AR impact on brand perception, competitive positioning, and revenue influence.
Maintain a disciplined approach to briefing documentation, follow‑ups, measurement, and stakeholder reporting.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, product marketing, product management, or corporate strategy within enterprise technology or telecommunications.
Experience in Analyst Relations in the telecommunications industry.
Deep understanding of telecom networks, broadband technologies, and global telecom market dynamics.
Demonstrated success influencing industry analyst perspectives and driving measurable improvements in analyst evaluations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technology topics into crisp narratives.
Strong analytical ability to interpret market data, analyst research, and competitive landscapes.
Experience working with executives and leading cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑moving, globally distributed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with major industry analyst firms (e.g., Gartner, IDC, Forrester, Omdia, Analysys Mason, Dell’Oro).
Background supporting service providers or telecommunications vendors.
MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
Experience managing AR programs at scale, including budget oversight and engagement planning.
