Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.   About the Job: The Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic Sales and Customer Engagement Head holds end-to-end accountability for the management and performance of the Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic portfolio in Egypt. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a long-term commercial strategy that focuses resources on maximizing market share, achieving sales targets, and controlling OPEX through proper P&L management — all within the framework of the MCO business strategy and policies. The role ensures the delivery of best-in-class Healthcare Professional (HCP) and patient journeys across the Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic therapeutic areas, driving commercial excellence and innovation in chronic disease management. The incumbent will lead the translation of Sanofi GenMed global and regional strategy into locally relevant, insight-driven execution plans that address the unique dynamics of the Egyptian healthcare landscape. As a senior commercial leader, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the competitive positioning of Sanofi's Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic portfolio, fostering a high-performance culture, and contributing strategically to the Pharma Egypt Leadership Team to drive competitiveness, transformation, and people growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Business Strategy & Execution — Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic Portfolio: Define and achieve financial objectives including sales, profitability, and market share targets for the Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic portfolio. Build and execute a business strategy fully aligned with Sanofi GenMed global and regional strategy, enriched with relevant local insights specific to chronic disease management in Egypt. Develop and implement long-term business plans (3-year horizon) to maximize market share and Business Operating Income (BOI). Ensure high-level portfolio management including successful product launches, pre-launch activities, and comprehensive local business case development tailored to the Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic landscape. Activate business intelligence and competitive monitoring to adapt strategy to the evolving competitive environment and proactively propose growth opportunities. Build Integrated Growth Plans that provide strategic market insights feeding the overall portfolio strategy. Ensure proper execution of Brand Activation Plans (operational plans), including: Patient and customer segmentation specific to Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic conditions Optimal patient and customer pathway design, including referral pathway optimization Identification and mitigation of local barriers to screening and diagnosis Tailored stakeholder engagement strategies Best-in-class Patient Support Programs and solutions for chronic disease management Track and optimize key performance indicators including Sales, Customer Satisfaction, and Internal Engagement. Apply Sanofi internal business and financial processes in management and reporting, in full alignment with Sanofi compliance guidelines. Oversee and analyze relevant market performance and trends, identifying performance development opportunities. Implement Customer Engagement strategy delivering high-quality customer journeys for key target customers effectively and consistently.    2- Budget, P&L & Performance Management: Hold full budget and P&L ownership and responsibility for operational effectiveness within the Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic portfolio. Ensure realization of budget commitments and 3-year plans. Provide input and propositions to the Commercial Head on business needs for cross-resourcing and budgeting. Oversee overall operations results, financial data, sales data, and other metrics to evaluate whether business objectives are met and adjust tactics accordingly. Constantly review resource allocation to optimize P&L, meet Sales and BOI targets, and capture business opportunities. Drive operational excellence and cost efficiency while maintaining quality of execution. 3- Key Stakeholders' Engagement Collaborate cross-functionally (Medical, Market Access, Public Affairs, Communication, Finance, GTMC, TRM, Supply Chain) to define a broad stakeholder engagement strategy. Understand how stakeholders impact each other within the healthcare ecosystem — including COEs, KOLs, HCPs, DOLs, scientific societies, PAGs, policy makers, and payers — and tailor engagement approaches to their level of maturity. Define innovative business models and partnerships with key external stakeholders to drive business growth. Ensure a seamless patient experience from pre-screening to post-treatment in Diabetes and Cardio Metabolic care. Contribute strategically to Pharma Egypt Leadership Team discussions to increase competitiveness, transformation, and people growth. Serve as an active member of the Pharma Country Operational Committee.   4- People & Organization Leadership Lead a best-in-class local Commercial team that transforms paradigms and enhances agile mindset to deliver business objectives while maintaining high performance levels. Ensure all promotional activities comply with pharmaceutical industry codes and standards. Maintain the highest standards of transparency in interactions with healthcare professionals and institutions. 8- Other Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by the Commercial Head Egypt. Contribute to corporate initiatives and transformation programs as required.   About You: Education Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related scientific/business field (required). MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Marketing/Business Management is a strong asset. Professional Experience Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Commercial or customer-facing roles. Demonstrated expertise in Sales planning, Omnichannel strategy, Marketing, and leading Sales teams with a strong focus on patient-centric initiatives. Proven successful P&L ownership accountability with demonstrated financial acumen. Proven experience in successfully driving commercial launch strategy for innovative products requiring monitoring/screening and/or strong disease area shaping. Experience in Diabetes and/or Cardio Metabolic therapeutic areas highly preferred. Deep understanding of the Egyptian healthcare system, reimbursement landscape, and regulatory environment. Experience working in matrix organizations and managing cross-functional teams. Technical & Functional Skills Strong command of market data analytics and competitive intelligence tools for market sizing, trend analysis, and opportunity identification. Financial acumen: proven ability to build, analyze, and present forecasts, budgets, P&L reports, and BOI targets. Skilled in developing and executing Brand Activation Plans, including segmentation, positioning, and targeting. Familiarity with digital marketing and omnichannel HCP engagement strategies, multi-channel content, and digital tool development. Strong knowledge of promotional and non-promotional material approval processes and compliance requirements.
