About This Role:
We are looking for a Data Engineer & Integration Specialist to join our Professional Services team, reporting to the Manager, Solutions Engineering. This is a full-time role based in Hyderabad, India.
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, systems integration, and customer delivery. You will help customers successfully migrate, integrate, and operationalize their data across the Gainsight platform and surrounding systems. The work spans APIs, data pipelines, automation frameworks, and platform optimization.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous data and integration problems, working directly with customer-facing teams, and building solutions that are reusable, scalable, and cost-conscious.
What You'll Do:
Design, build, and maintain integrations between Gainsight and third-party systems using a mix of iPaaS platforms, APIs, and custom tooling.
Extract, transform, and load customer data to support onboarding, migrations, and ongoing platform optimization.
This is not an exhaustive list, and responsibilities may evolve as the team and platform grow.
Build validation scripts and checks to ensure data quality before and after migration.
Develop reusable integration patterns, templates, and utilities to accelerate future customer engagements.
Implement monitoring, logging, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure reliability and operational clarity.
Troubleshoot integration and data issues in production environments and improve performance, scale, and cost efficiency.
Partner closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Sales teams to understand customer requirements and deliver effective solutions.
This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience in data engineering, systems integration, or related technical roles.
Experience working with one or more integration platforms (such as Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar).
Strong understanding of API-based integrations, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, and data transformation.
Hands-on experience building ETL or data migration pipelines.
Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with relational data models.
Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a plus, but not required).
Ability to think beyond tools and apply core integration and data principles across different technologies.
