Job Description
Regeneron's Data Enablement and Analytics (DEA) team within the Analytical & Biological Mass Spectrometry (ABMS) group is seeking a Data Analyst to streamline scientific and operational data workflows — from data preparation to decision-ready insights — to support biotherapeutic drug development programs across diverse modalities and stages of development.
In this role, you will work across diverse ABMS data sources (e.g., Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) data and operational data) to enable reliable data collection, organization, integration, analysis, and visualization. You will translate complex analytical data into decision-ready insights that support experiment design, result interpretation, and timely scientific and operational decisions.
Your work will enable scientists and leadership to more efficiently access, analyze, visualize, and act on ABMS data, increasing organizational capacity, reliability, and operational efficiency to help advance Regeneron’s preclinical and clinical programs.
As a core contributor to ABMS data solutions, you will collaborate closely with DEA team members, ABMS laboratory scientists and managers, IT solution partners, and other DEA teams across the Product Analytics & Process Development (PAPD) organization. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in an evolving environment.
A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:
Lead the end-to-end preparation of scientific and operational data, including data assembly, organization, archiving, and reporting, and develop automated data workflows to support analytical and operational needs
Partner with ABMS laboratory scientists and managers to identify data needs, digitize analytical workflows, and ensure data solutions support study assays across all stages of drug characterization
Establish and improve communication, integration, and automation of data flows between data producers and data consumers to enable efficient and reliable delivery of data-driven insights
Build and maintain data cataloging, reporting, and visualization capabilities to improve data governance, access, integration, curation, quality, and readiness for analytics consumption
Perform data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs
Partner with DEA team members, IT Solution Partners, and external vendors to define data requirements, validate data pipeline outputs, and support the implementation of unified data platforms
Support adoption of new data tools, workflows, and platforms through documentation, training, and change management
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines
0–5 years of experience in data science or data analytics, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry
Proficiency in Python, R, and/or Java for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and workflow automation.
Experience developing data visualization, dashboards, and interactive reports using R/Shiny, Posit Connect, Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent platforms
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases; experience querying and managing structured scientific data
Experience designing and maintaining automated data workflows to support data analysis, validation, and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for scientific and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with LC-MS data analysis and interpretation
Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry, particularly within an analytical laboratory environment.
Familiarity with LC-MS software ecosystems (e.g., Skyline, LabKey Panorama, Protein Metrics Byosphere, Genedata Expressionist, or Waters UNIFI/Empower).
Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) platforms (e.g., Benchling, NuGenesis, and IDBS), including API integration, data extraction, and workflow configuration.
Familiarity with building data connectors or API integrations for visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire, and Tableau).
