We are seeking a Clay Consultant – GTM Engineer to advise us on redesigning and scaling our AI-powered pipeline and SDR infrastructure. This is a 6-month contract (monthly retainer) focused on guiding the transition from manual workflows to automated, scalable systems and enabling RevOps ownership.
What you’ll do
1. Advise on the SDR Operating System
Define and recommend the end-to-end SDR workflow (targeting → qualification → outreach → handoff)
Partner with SDR leadership to align on how workflows should be structured based on real rep behavior
Recommend a scalable foundation for automation and long-term evolution
2. Guide Automated Pipeline Infrastructure
Advise on how to design a Clay-powered target identification engine to source and prioritize accounts
Recommend best practices for automated account enrichment
Provide guidance on Salesforce integration (read/write, deduplication, hygiene, data architecture)
3. Advise on AI-Driven Outreach Systems
Recommend how sequence infrastructure and messaging frameworks should be structured
Guide implementation of AI-powered personalization using Clay + LLMs
Define how triggering logic and signal-based automation should operate
4. Recommend Optimization & Iteration Frameworks
Define how performance and pipeline impact should be measured
Advise on experimentation frameworks and iteration loops
Guide treating the system as a product with a structured backlog and roadmap
5. Document, Enable, and Transition Ownership
Define documentation standards for workflows, data sources, and system logic
Advise and support RevOps in taking ownership of the system
Ensure the system is designed for long-term sustainability beyond the engagement
What you have:
Proven experience advising on and implementing Clay workflows (portfolio required)
Experience with data sourcing tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar)
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce as a data layer and system of record
Experience guiding automation design using platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier)
Experience supporting enterprise SDR/BDR teams
Deep understanding of SDR workflows at the rep level
Ability to document systems and enable internal teams to operate them independently
Background in adtech, martech, or SaaS GTM environments
Experience working with LLM APIs for enrichment, scoring, or personalization
Experience supporting enterprise / “whale hunting” sales motions
Familiarity with data hygiene, deduplication, and scaling Salesforce data quality
