IAS is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst who brings both hands-on experience and a collaborative spirit to our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to make an impact in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the continued growth and success of our organization.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be an integral member of our Global Accounts Payable team and will ensure timely and accurate recording of invoices and vendor payments. This role will work closely with Procurement, Treasury and Accounting in ensuring strict controls on processes and close compliance to all company policies on handling expenses and payments.
Role Responsibilities:
Ensure all payments are integrated into accounts payable and processed through the system having adhered to the ‘Procure to Pay’ policies and processes
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, including verification of supporting documentation. Workday experience would be an added advantage.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
Prepare the payment run to ensure we are paying suppliers on time and accurately
Process the employee T&E expense reimbursements in line with the T&E policy.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper expense allocation
Manage vendor and internal relationships, address inquiries, and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
Work with the broader finance team to facilitate a smooth month-end close process, including accruals and reconciliations
Ensure that policies and procedures are in accordance with SOX documentation requirements
Leverage technology to develop, implement, and strengthen financial controls and processes
Follow approval workflows and ensure a controlled environment for onboarding new vendor
Assure root cause analysis of errors and non-compliant invoices are performed and corrective actions have been implemented
Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices related to accounts payable
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function
What we’re ideally looking for:
A BA/BS/BCom degree OR equivalent years of experience.
Ideally 3-6 years specializing in Accounts Payable or related experience.
Proficiency in Accounts Payable related systems. (Workday Experience is a plus)
Strong skills in data analysis, presentation, problem-solving, and research.
Excel and/or Google Sheet proficiency.
Demonstrates commitment to maintaining quality standards with a proactive and ownership-driven approach to tasks.
Demonstrates ability to liaise and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
